| Abstract | This publication is designed for use in standard science curricula to develop oceanologic manifestations of certain science topics. Included are teacher guides, student activities, and demonstrations designed to impart ocean science understanding. Specific learning objectives, the rationale, materials needed, and suggested teacher introductions are presented. The six student activities prepared should enable the students to achieve the suggested objectives: (1) to identify a number of oceanic zones; (2) to describe changes in environmental factors related to change in depth; (3) to identify zones of a beach; and (4) to describe the beach zones relative to diversity of organisms present.
